Derphotep

So I'm still struggling to find a style. This was originally just supposed to be a test but I tried to finish it up (still feels a little muddy to me but I like the simple shapes). There wasn't a story behind it but the longer I drew the more it came to me. So here it is:

This is the mummy of Derphotep. His one claim to fame was building a lemonade stand in his likeness on the Nile. Two weeks later it was destroyed by a rampaging hippo. Even though it was pulling in a decent profit Derphotep never rebuilt it. After that he just didn't seem interested in building stuff and slipped into history virtually unknown.
